Penicuik’s own town brass band , recently victorious in the Carnegie invitational contest  in Dunfermline’s Carnegie Hall invite you to come to their  summer concert in Penicuik Town Hall on 5th June at 7.00pm.

If you are a loyal supporter of the town’s band, as many in Penicuik have been, we look forward to your company again. If you have never attended a brass band concert, and only know brass bands through Penicuik on Parade, come along and hear us on stage playing a wide range of music from folk to swing to show tunes and film music and even modern compositions just written for brass bands.

It’s an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours, with half time refreshments giving a chance to catch up with friends and neighbours, or to chat to band members about the music they have played. Our new junior band “Penny Brass” will be playing.

So support the oldest musical group in Penicuik, which has been entertaining the town since 1835! Tickets are available at the door or by contacting band secretary Sandy Mcleman
