Election Hustings to be Held
Community Group to Hold Debate
Midlothian’s General Election candidates will face a live audience next week, in the first constituency hustings.
Local community group, Midlothian Matters, has signed up all six of Midlothian’s Westminster hopefuls to give the public the chance to quiz them on their policies and aims for the region.
In an organised event on Wednesday 15 April, Owen Thompson (SNP), Kenny Young (Labour), Michelle Ballantyne (Conservative), Aisha Mir (Liberal Democrats) and Ian Baxter (Greens), will debate questions put to them by a live audience.
The debate will be held in Shottstown Miners Club, Penicuik between 7pm and 9pm on Wednesday 15 April. It is free to attend and everyone is welcome.
