Active pensioners are being invited to the celebratory Ageing Well Festival on Tuesday 17 February.

The event, which takes place between 10am and 2pm in Ladywood Leisure Centre, gives community members, over the age of fifty, the chance to get a free blood pressure and eye test.

In addition to this, there’ll be the opportunity to complete a fitness test, whilst the council’s team of sport professionals will offer tasters in selected sports.

Midlothian physiotherapists will be on hand to offer help and advice along with lots of other local support groups. Additionally the Ageing Well organisers will be on hand to provide information on indoor and outdoor sporting events throughout Penicuik and District.

Tea, coffee and cake will also be available.

The event is free to attend.
