Nominations are being sought to elect both this year’s and next year’s Hunter & Lass.

It’s that time of the year again, when the organising committee of the town’s May festivities opens up nominations for a new male and female to take the reins of the Hunter and Lass celebrations.

However locals will being seeing double this year, as not one, but two couples are elected. For the first time in the history of the town, there will be two Hunter and Lass pairs undertaking organised events. The main couple, Hunter & Lass 2015, will be at the forefront of this year’s celebrations, famously leading the parade through the town on the last Saturday in May.

In addition a “Hunter and Lass elect” pair will prepare to take the leading role in 2016. The move will also allow next year’s couple to undertake some duties which, due to time constraints, may not have been possible last year.

Do you think you, or someone you know, has what it takes to represent the town either this year or next? Well, if the answer to the following questions is yes, follow this link to download a nomination form.

Live in the Penicuik Area?

Have an interest in your town?

Have a fun, outgoing personality?

You have until Saturday 28 February to nominate yourself or someone else. Forms can be returned via email, post or in person to any committee member. For more info, follow the link above.
