A local PCC has said the only way forward for Penicuik’s secondary schools is to build a new single site merged campus.

Ian Miller, an pcc for Labour, has said that “It’s time that the snp acknowledged there’s a problem with Secondary schooling in Penicuik and that the answer is a new school.” He continued to say that “This is [the] only solution to [the] problem and Penicuik Folks would be delighted with new High School.” At the time the No Beeslack Merger Facebook page got comments from the local public saying “Delighted? I don’t bloody think so!!” and “Looks like we have another fight on our hands – bring it on!”.
